Today I want to discuss the following quote by Robert Frost
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: it goes on.
– Robert Frost
The basic message of this quote is that no matter what happens in life, if you lose someone or anything bad happens to you, life will go on. Time won’t freeze. Work won’t stop. Everything will go on as it was and as if nothing happened.
The question is if it’s a good thing or a bad thing. In my opinion it’s a good thing. It forces us to go back into our routine. Else we would drown in our sorrow and won’t be able to do anything. It pulls us out of the trauma we have experienced and allows us to get busy again and possibly push back the memory of whatever has happened. With every new day there is an opportunity to experience something good, something uplifting which will ease the pain and suffering.
Life goes on and so should you because once you stop you stop living. We have only one life and it’s up to us what we make out of it. Either we waste it and regret it when we are old or we make the best of it and set an example for the coming generation.
Thank you for reading. I would love to read in the comments what your views are on this quote.
